Tune-Up

A tune up is a series of preventive maintenance services that helps a vehicle run well.

Tune up services:

• Checking and replacing parts: a mechanic will check and replace parts that are prone to wear and tear, such as the air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, oxygen sensor and PCV valve.
• Cleaning and repairing: the mechanic will clean, repair, or replace parts like the fuel system, spark plugs and spark plug wires.
• Checking and adjusting: the mechanic will check the ignition timing, battery, and fluid levels. They may also visually inspect the engine and preform diagnostic testing.

Some signs your vehicle may need a tune up:

• Squealing or screeching noises while driving, which could indicate a worn out serpentine belt.
• Grinding noises when you press the break petal, which could indicate worn out brake pads, or rotors.
• Rattling or clattering noises while driving, which could indicate a loose or damaged exhaust system.
• Ticking or tapping noises under the hood which could indicate low oil pressure.
