Transmission Filter Service

Commercial transmission filter service is a preventive maintenance procedure that involves replacing the transmission fluid and filter, and checking the other components. This service can help ensure that the transmission is operating at it’s peak performance.

Things that are done during the service:

• Removing the transmission pan: the pan is removed to access the filter, which is usually located at the bottom of the transmission.
• Remove old filter: the old filter is removed and replaced with a new filter.
• Inspect the pan: the pan is inspected for debris, excessive metal, or clutch fragments.
• Replace the pan gasket: a new pan gasket is installed
• Re install the pan: put the pan back to the transmission
• Refill with new fluid: add transmission fluid to the proper level
• Test drive: test drive the vehicle to make sure there is not any unusual sounds or shifting issues.
